Help Us Protect Santa Cruz County’s Open Spaces.

Santa Cruz County’s beautiful open spaces and native habitats are being damaged by unauthorized target shooting and the debris it leaves behind. The Santa Cruz Training and Facilities Foundation is working toward a responsible solution. By developing a dedicated facility for safe, managed target shooting and helping remediate impacted “wildcat” shooting areas, the Foundation aims to reduce environmental damage, restore native habitat, and protect the lands our community values. Together, we can promote responsible recreation while preserving our natural surroundings for generations to come.

Our Mission

The Santa Cruz Training and Facilities Foundation will focus on hunting, firearm safety, local natural habitat conservation and physical outdoor activities

Our Program

The Facility envisioned by the Santa Cruz Training and Facilities Foundation will alleviate the damage done to the local native habitat caused by illegal target shooting. The Santa Cruz Training and Facilities Foundation will organize and participate in the remediation of these “wildcat” shooting areas

Santa Cruz Valley Shooters have cleaned up of numerous wildcat shooting areas and are current working with Arizona Game and Fish to build a local shooting range
