A thriving community is built by people who care—and in Green Valley, thousands of volunteer hours are making a visible difference. The GVC Foundation brings neighbors together to strengthen our community through education, civic pride, environmental stewardship, and public service. From protecting our parks and promoting public safety to proudly displaying the Avenue of Flags and celebrating acts of kindness, our volunteers help make Green Valley a safer, more welcoming, and beautiful place to call home. With your support, we can continue turning community spirit into meaningful action.
Our Mission
The GVC Foundation is committed to the future and provide sustainability of initiatives that provide services in Green Valley.
Who Do We Serve?
Green Valley, Arizona community of 26,000 residents
Our Impact
The GVC Foundation leverages over 5,288 annual volunteer hours to deliver:
(1) Community Engagement supports numerous free educational forums on monsoon madness, buffelgrass remediation, and living with wildlife in collaboration with the GV Council. Plus The GVC Foundation acquired Radar Detection electronic signs that help our local HOA’s residents aware of their vehicle speed, and informational portable message signage which alerts the public of important events or timely issues.
(2) Civic Pride with our “Avenue of Flags” along La Canada Drive, coordinates with our civic group partners, to post nearly 100 USA Flags on 8 patriotic holidays annually.
(3) Environmental Stewardship advocates for the restoration and preservation of our 3 Pima County Parks here in Green Valley. The GVC Foundation supports, promotes and preserves the Parks through community outreach for volunteer clean-up, decorate holiday lights, walk in the park days, plus more efforts for public safety initiatives.
(4) Public Service celebrates volunteer service and charitable acts including promoting 3 annual “Good Deeds Day” for Kindness Day on February 17, National Volunteer Day in April and Good Neighbor Day on September 28.
