Bugs in Community
Help us spark curiosity, inspire young scientists and protect the incredible invertebrates that keep our world thriving.
A small donation can spark a big discovery. Bugs in Community is bringing the fascinating world of insects and other invertebrates into our Southern Arizona community through educational programs, local partnerships and hands-on learning. From entomology lunch lectures in Green Valley to upcoming programs in local schools, after-school programs and Pima Community College, your support helps inspire curiosity, build appreciation for the natural world and make science accessible to learners of all ages. Your gift helps us bring more of these experiences to our community.
Our Mission
Bugs in Community is dedicated to educating our community about insect diversity as well as local and worldwide conservation efforts. Our organization hosts educational events, visits school classrooms, offers scholarships to entomology students, makes charitable donations to other conservation organizations, donates entomology collections to public museums, and establishes programs to promote insect conservation and insect research. Bug in Community's goal is to increase ento-literacy among the general public and support young entomologists.
Who do we serve?
Young entomologists, the general public, students, and educators in Southern AZ, CA, TX, and FL. We also support other non-profits nationwide.
