  1. Equine Voices Rescue and Sanctuary
      Equine Voices rescue the hardest of the hardest cases of abuse, neglect, starvation, abandonment and so many more. Without our service to the community to help equines, most of our equines were facing a horrendous fate of feedlot and slaughter. Equine Voices has saved hundreds of equines in the past 22 years, and with 65 equines currently at the sanctuary, not only is it extremely costly, but the workload is also extreme, which is why our volunteer program is so critically important.     The Friends of Madera Canyon assist the United States Forest Service with keeping trails and infrastructure clean and safe; welcoming visitors and educating them about (1) what Madera Canyon has to offer and (2) how to enjoy the natural beauty of the Canyon with minimal impact to its ecosystems.

  4. Arivaca Fire District Auxiliary AFD Auxiliary
    The Arivaca Fire District Auxiliary supports the firefighters and medical personnel who serve one of Southern Arizona’s most remote communities. Through grants, fundraising events, and community involvement, the Auxiliary helps provide essential equipment, supplies, training, and resources that are not fully covered by the district’s budget. Serving a wide rural area near the U.S.–Mexico border, their work ensures that first responders have what they need to deliver safe, effective emergency services.     Santa Cruz County’s beautiful open spaces and native habitats are being damaged by unauthorized target shooting and the debris it leaves behind. The Santa Cruz Training and Facilities Foundation is working toward a responsible solution. By developing a dedicated facility for safe, managed target shooting and helping remediate impacted “wildcat” shooting areas, the Foundation aims to reduce environmental damage, restore native habitat, and protect the lands our community values.
