Volunteering Clearing House 2
Help Us Connect Volunteers with Purpose

Every day, Volunteer Clearinghouse connects people with opportunities to make a meaningful difference in their community. By linking compassionate volunteers with more than 100 nonprofit and community organizations along the I-19 Corridor, we help strengthen the services that support our neighbors—from food assistance and healthcare to education, the arts, and environmental stewardship. Your donation helps us maintain this vital connection by expanding volunteer outreach, providing resources to those looking to serve, and offering professional development for volunteer coordinators who depend on well-trained volunteers. Together, we can inspire more people to give their time, strengthen local organizations, and build a more connected, caring Southern Arizona.

Our Mission

To recruit potential volunteers for public and non-profit organizations in Green Valley/Sahuarita and surrounding communities, and provide professional development for volunteer managers.

Our Program

We provide the Community with information about volunteer opportunities at our 100+ Volunteer Agency Partners. We provide that information through our website, social media, and print media. We also provide opportunities for our Agency Partners to highlight their volunteers in monthly articles

We also provide Professional Development opportunities to the Agencies Volunteer Managers/Coordinators a series of workshops and newletters.

Our Impact

GVSVC’s Vision is “To promote volunteerism as an essential community resource to achieve community well-being.” Volunteerism provides both the volunteer and recipient of service an opportunity for social interaction which has been demonstrated to be beneficial for both. People of all ages and abilities can volunteer. It is a mechanism for all to share the talents that they have and an opportunity to learn additional skills. The community benefits when its members are engaged in helping others.

A major way that we interact with our Community is our website which allows GVSVC to provide local residents an up-to-date, state of the art, guide to volunteering in Green Valley/Sahuarita and surrounding communities. It is user-friendly and navigable for those visiting the site.

GVSVC serves residents of all ages and abilities in the Greater Green Valley/Sahuarita area who wish to volunteer or learn about more volunteer opportunities. It benefits the non-profit organizations, governmental entities and other organizations (i.e. hospices) that utilize volunteers. GVSVC currently has over 100 Partner Agencies who offer volunteers opportunities to the Community. Each Partner Agency has their own webpage on the GVSVC Site which facilitates them in getting their organization known.

Our Annual Volunteer Showcase is open to all of our Agency Partners and Community at no cost. It allows the Community to talk with Agency representatives to learn about their non-profits and their volunteer needs. The Showcase also serves as a networking opportunity for the Agencies which enhances collaboration and the services that they provide.
