Friends of the Tubac Presidio and Museum, Inc.
Honoring the Roots of the Southwest
The Tubac Presidio is the first state park in Arizona and the first European village in what is today Arizona. The park shows the multicultural 2,000-year history of the area. The Friends operate the park and hold lectures, concerts, and events reflecting southwestern history.
Our Mission
Cultivating curiosity and appreciation of our local history and diverse cultural traditions through education and stewarding the Presidio's resources for past, present, and future generations.
About Us
The Friends have been operating the park since 2013. Our museum exhibits have won awards, the gardens are engaging and diverse, school groups visit the site, and the community supports our efforts.
Testimonials
The park is an essential resource in the story of Tubac and the Southwest from Native America, Spanish, Mexican and American settlements. It is well kept up. We can see the use of our donated funds at work every time we visit.
