We have a variety of programs directed at our mission including: Borderlands Forums; Cross-Border and U.S. Tours; Borderlands Literature & Film Circle; Breakfast at the Border; Let's Speak Spanish!; and the Borderlands Ambassador Internship Program in Southern AZ and Northern Mexico.
Our Mission
To bridge the border and create cross-border community through education, cultural exchange and social investment.
Our Impact in the Community
$500,000+ in social investment in Nogales, Hermosillo and other Sonora, Mexico, communities, including for programs serving migrants, people with disabilities, children, and more.
Hundreds of tours on both sides of the border, with an emphasis on social investment and cultural and historical awareness of southern Arizona and northern Mexico.
Thousands of residents receiving outreach through our Borderlands Forums and “Breakfast and the Border” series, which focus on cultural, historical, environmental, and public policy topics.
Over 75 borderlands authors and thousands of participants engaged in talks through our Borderlands Literature and Film Circle.
65 youth impacted through our Borderlands Ambassador Internship program, which encourages awareness of the borderlands among college-age students. In 2024, we received a record 49 applicants from 13 states, three countries, and 23 universities.
350+ students learning Spanish through our Let’s Speak Spanish program.
